OIMB Charleston Marine Life Center

OIMB is in the final stages of fund-raising for a new museum/aquarium facility in Charleston, across the street from the OIMB campus. We expect to begin construction in March of 2009.

The facility will serve school classes and visitors from throughout Oregon and beyond through dissemination of basic information about the marine environment and marine organisms. Additionally, increased tourism to visit the facility is expected to have a positive economic impact on the fishing village of Charleston.
